This is the only MMO im looking forward to, beside fallout (maybe black prophecy and earthrise, but not same level of expectedness). And sadly, theyre both barely visible on the horizon. But at least CCP confirmed it, and theyre setting the game inside the old world.
I dont know about the new setting, so i cant judge old vs new but the old setting was pretty kick ass so im glad its getting done. White wolf doesnt do corny shit, so with them doing the backstory and CCP doing a solid sandbox, it could turn out to be a great game.

I enjoyed Vampire back in the day when I was in high school and going through my table top phase. I'd probably give this a look. Now they just need to do a Shadowrun MMO...then we're really in business.

Bleh i dont know, elves and trolls in a cyberpunk setting. Id love a good scifi game, but more realistic. For example a game set in a william gibson-esque world, shadowrun ripped off Neuromancer, check it out if you want to know what i mean.
The best shot at it i saw, was tabula rasa. But they decided to make it similar to planetside, instead of ultima online in space, which would have been great if done right.
Vampire is such an awesome setting though and i hope they dont screw it up. One of the reasons i thought Eve online sucked after a while is because PVE was so grindy and uninteresting, and you needed that to get your money for pvping. If white wolf gets in on the action and you get some nice storytelling on top of the pvp (instead of grinding the same 10 missions over and over), it could really rock.

It's going to probably be a clone of every other multi-faction MMO that's been released. If it's not vampire clan vs vampire clan, it'll be vampire clans vs werewolves vs undead vs witch hunters or something retarded. Likely with Gangrels and Nosferatu showing no allegiance and being the "neutrals" with only allegiance to faction leaders or what have you.
This COULD BE amazing, but it'll go the way of Star Trek Online. You can't make an MMO with a rich pre-existing game-world history, without a lot of compromises.

I'd rather see a Call of Cthulu MMO.
No Mummy on V:TM == boo.
I used to love messing with folks who didn't know about the other books, while they tried to figure out who's ghoul i was...

To me the most important thing is, is it fun to play. A game that plays similar to savage2 would be nice, if you know it and I cant stand anymore of those go there, do that, come back here quest grind. I saw a vid of guild wars 2 where devs said that instead of going to a quest guy and reading, you see the quest happening on screen and you intervene if you want.
For example stuff like you happen upon a gang shootout and you know the prince of your area has put a price on one of the gang leaders head. The gang leader doesnt spawn everytime, and the gangs dont always fight at the same spot, so you dont sit around fiddling your thumbs while waiting for the leader to spawn. Id like a more dynamic world along those lines.

lol thats the prob most likely, young people bitching about vampires probably never read/viewed anything that was any good. I never saw any twilight but im sure its pretty horrible, it doesnt mean all vampire literature sucks.
Check out Ed Wood (tim burton) if you wanna see a great vampire! But bevare though... bevare
