View Full Version : How important is 75 AGI?

So I'll want to be starting a Dwarf Paladin, and after asking a few higher level characters for starting stat recommendations, I'm not sure about the whole 75 AGI thing.
Is it necessary to have 75 AGI with gear? Or not at all important if you're fairly equipped?
I won't be having anything that will give my paladin AGI, but he'll be fairly twinked.

Any clarification on the subject will be highly appreciated.

There is a penalty below 75 agility if you don't have 75 agility to all defensive stats.

Agility beyond 75 is largely pointless due to the formula behind calculating defenses.

I'd just get agility to 75 or 80 if it isn't already at char select if it's below that. Reason for 80: I can't name a whole lot of NPCs that debuff agility, but if you are encumbered, you get a large agility penalty depending on how over-encumbered you are and it's nice to not have to waste a gear slot on agility. Alternatively, don't go over your weight limit.

OK, thanks for info! I guess I'll just give him 5 agility.

I recently posted a thread concerning this:

As a tank, you're going to fall below 20% HP pretty regularly. Do read above for what I think is a good treatment of the statistic.

Also keep in mind, most mid-high level melee gear will throw stacks of +9 Agility at you like nobody's business.

It shouldn't be pointless, it increases Avoidance.
