how to climb out of water

I have jumped into a pool in Kaladim, and I cannot rise back up out of the water. Spacebar seems like it would work, but it does nothing.

How do I rise back up out of water?

Angle the camera up and move as if you were running. You'll sort of jump to get over the edge. Might take a few tries depending on how far down you are.

Usually i have to be in 1st person to jump out of the water

First person or page up should work the same, either way you need your nose pointed at the sky lol.

I ended up pressing F12 and using the keys to climb out. If I point my nose upward and press forward, I do not rise.

The only way to rise is to repeatedly press spacebar many, many times.

I'm hoping it's just this pool that has weird geometry or something, because I don't ever remember having swimming issues back in the day.
