I played EQ back in the days for a while and I'm making a return but I'm stuck debating red or blue server. I have about 40 hours a week worth of playing time. I enjoy pvping and have not really enjoyed pve since I was in eq live. Only thing turning me away from red is the low pop. Can I get some cons and pros on both servers ?

High population
Plenty of people to group with at all level ranges
Cheap gear
Overly saturated end game

Red
Smallish population
Massive group xp bonus
Less gear saturation
More classic
Coin loot

You can decide which if those are pros and which are cons ^^ I am sure others will respond with more. Welcome aboard (potentially) and good lucks!

Both servers have their pros and cons. On red, you can get 50 in a few days, depending on your class. Blue has a decently high population and shouldn't have trouble finding groups 1-60.

I'm in the same position as you but after lots of reading on the forums I'm going to roll on red as I've always been a PVP:er in my heart. I also have 40+ hours a week to play, heck we might even team up a bit in the beginning?
