View Full Version : <Holocaust> loot council debunked

This distribution of loot will change in Velious.. Although loot will still drop in large quantities, it will be distributed in a way that best helps the guild progress and grow
Looks like the holocoast loot councils true form is emerging behind the facade of charity they've been playing at for awhile now... It sure makes you look good handing out pixels for free but the fact that you already got all those pixels in nihilum during your nutswinging days makes you wonder... At least now we know where the pixels will go once something you don't have drops.
I hereby consider all roo retards informed on the loot situation in holocaust, prepare yourself to be snubbed on the finest of pixels for months to come. There are mains and alts that needs these items before you, once these pixels have been acquired the facade of charity may continue as usual.
God bless.

They changed the wording on that section, it didn't say anything about guild progression until after I criticised it in another thread. :)

Every successful progression guild in the history of EverQuest prioritized tanks and clerics in order to get better loot for everyone.
Would not expect Azrael to know this.

DKP doesn't work super well on red servers, as it rewards people just showing up for raids where dkp is awarded. It doesn't reward things like
-scouting/tracking mobs and enemy movements
-pvping for zone control and zone denial
-good players guiding weaker/new players
-controlling specific zones that are important for your guild
-teamwork and passing gear down rather than just selling/trading it
-people hoarding dkp/passing on rot upgrades because they want x prestige item.
-forum quest Public Relations. aka Smedy Spielberg productions
-funneling gear is harder for important classes that you need aka clerics, tanks, and pvp characters.
You can't expect to show up at raids and just clock in to be a body while others are doing the listed above tasks. Whoever does the above tasks will become your "core" players, and raid attendance is only a small percentage of what someone does for a guild.
Velious will change that in that specific classes like clerics, warriors, bards, skilled pullers, support characters, and pvp characters will need to be geared out faster than damage roles that will just need the best weapon and haste they can get for many fights. Guilds will also have a hard time retaining these classes as the most important raiding classes are high burnout classes and assuming multiple raiding guilds on server, the more likely they are to be poached by enemy guilds for pixel packages.

just loling because you actually had to explain this to retards on these boards
the reality is that anything we do as the dominant guild will be interpreted and criticized in ways that people want/ need to see us, hence why that part was added in the recruitment OP. the fact that it was misinterpreted speaks volumes to how little all of you know about velious in general.
you guys are really grasping at straws here
there's like 4 or 5 different criticisms i have for azrael's current system just on the surface, but i dont really care to enumerate them because you're autists who won't/ hardly accomplish anything of note even now
if you have non retards in officer positions doing a loot council, just having that is enormously better than DKP, and that's as basic as it gets.
no one is actually upset with how our guild works
there's always going to be calls people disagree with, either mildly or to a great degree, but that's just the shit you gotta deal with, 'specially in a zerg
u guys gotta shed the mad, get the duke or we win

Holo guild bank sells off items that members could use on a daily basis. seems fair to me, i would rather go to a guild that rewards based on effort put into that guild, as opposed to getting thrown scraps so core members can loot whore all the high valu stuff.
