Rampage is a Class C raiding guild with players from all around the globe covering every time zone. We have a heavy focus on the upcoming Velious expansion. We're Project 1999's most cohesive and disciplined raid force; we play hard and we win big. We're in the business of killing dragons, collecting pixels, and laughing our asses off--and boy, business is boomin'. The secret to our success is simple: maximize efficiency, minimize chance, and have as much fun as humanly possible while maintaining a positive presence on the server.

We're actively recruiting skilled, high-playtime players from all time zones. Before applying to Rampage, you should:


Be level 60 or close to it
Have at least 160 unbuffed MR (MR gear set)
Have Teamspeak 3 installed and a own a headset

Applications can be submitted through our website. Be thorough and do your best to impress. Once an application is submitted, you will be contacted by one of our Recruitment Officers and will be given an interview in Teamspeak. If the interview goes well, you will be invited to the guild and given a list of items, potions, and gear you are required to obtain before we put you up for a full member vote. During your time as an applicant we expect to see you grow into the role that your class fulfills. Dead weight will be cut.

Rampage is not for everyone. The application process is not easy. We remain the most capable raid force on the server by having everyone prepared for anything at any given moment. This means carrying and utilizing many items as well as having near BIS gear. We look for the following qualities in an applicant:


A willingness to learn how we raid and how you fit into it
A drive to improve your play and contribute to discussions to improve others
Be a team player, who is social and fun to be around

That said, loot whores, habitual whiners, and douche-bags can promptly bugger off--we have no use nor need for you here.

I get concerned when I see things like "loot council" or points, meaning only a small inner circle of members or people who have all day to raid get everything, leaving semi casuals behind.

Kinda out of luck if loot council bothers you. With the exception of Taken and Asgard, all the P99 raiding guilds have some form of loot council item distribution. Good question though! I'm assuming with Argh in leadership, Rampage will be adopting Idiots and Savages destroy everything that drops policy, correct?

I suppose you're right. This is my concern with all the higher end guilds though. Geared and rich toons continue to get geared, while someone who is available to raid 50-70% of the time (depending) is basically only raiding to gear those people. Shit in 6 weeks the only piece I've been "given" was a pair of gloves no one else there needed. Very frustrating. I'm basically looking for a fair system so everyone can get the chance for gear. I'm going to end up Lv 60 going into velious with 1 planar piece and the rest old world camp gear.

I can't speak for totally not IB's loot system, but that's a good discussion for server chat. You should make a thread there. But if you're pulling 50-70% raid attendance in any guild on P99, you're WAY above average and will get hooked up regardless of who you pick.

I don't think a non class C player comprehends what 70% attendance means in the context of a 24 hour raiding guild, but our loot council is supplemented by a very robust attendance tracking system that also awards points for tracking and other guild-first activities.

If you put in the time, you get loot. Period.

So there I was, trying to sell some lowbie stuff in EC, when I see Huckster auction something along the lines of WTS Green Jade Axe. First person to find at T1 me gets it. 3k. In my great brain I thought! HOLY CRAP! GIVING IT AWAY! I ran to her and was like HAIL HUCKSTER! I saw 2nd person Hail like 1 second before me, then it dawned on me. Who would give away a Green Jade Axe?! I walked away then came back a second and was laughing about it. I just woke up and was tired and not thinking straight. I explained this to Huckster and had a good laugh.

As I was about to turn around and head back to selling, a trade window opened.
BAM! GREEN JADE AXE! In the trade window! Name was green. I click trade and its now mine! WOW! Thank you so much Rampage! Your members are truly the best!

Paladin Seeking a Raid Guild I run Crypt Raiders but my guild will not even have it as a idea maybe 8 months to 2yrs from now, my leadership will be moved to one of my alts i play here and there.

Spent early Sunday afternoon on the beta server doing some more playing around in NToV. Dropped Aaryonar on our first attempt and we were feeling pretty good. After Aary we decided to play around with Lord Vyemm and managed to even get him as low as 2% but the guy definitely lives up to his reputation. He is with out a doubt one of the hardest dragons in all of Velious. Fear not though, we'll get a SS of his corpse up here soon for you all.

Euro Beta

Franswa hosted our guilds first weekday Euro beta raid today. We decided to go play around in Velks and see if anyone was home. We dropped Lord Bobby easily as expected but the real surprise was Velketor himself. We managed to take the giant down with only 22 kunark geared raiders. As per usual, raid was done legit w/o any of those fun beta cheats.

The rumors aren't true

We heard some nasty rumors that Klandicar and Zlandicar were unkillable so we decided to check it out for ourselves. Both went down pretty easily so we decided to go work some more on our Sontalak strat. We dropped him pretty smoothly with only a few deaths after a bit of tweaking. Thanks to all of our stalkers and groupies who came out to watch us take down this very important trio! We love you all!

We went back for round 2 with Lord Vyemm today and dropped him on our second attempt for a Beta Server first. No cheats, no gimmicks, full Kunark gear (our actual gear), and Kunark spells. I think it's safe to say we are ready for launch this coming weekend.

Son I am disappoint

With it being the last week of beta we decided to spend the evening in a place we have spent very little time in, Sleepers Tomb. Our thought process has always been whats the point of killing easy ST mobs if you can't actually kill the harder mobs the drop the keys? We zoned in to find out all the golems and the easy warder had already been killed (shocker), so we decided to test to see if the sleeper script was working. I'm proud to say we 1 shotted all 3 of the remaining the warders which I'm pretty sure was a beta first for at least 2 if not all 3 of them. Nanzata, Ventani, and Hraashna were all dead in about an hour and a half. The loot was pretty damn terrible but that wasn't the biggest disappointment of the evening. After we killed the final warder nothing happened. Oh well though, guess we'll have to try again in a couple of months ;).

Oh yea, we killed Kland and Sont again too tonight.

After picking up our 7th ST key today from Zlandicar we decided to give MotG a shot. Turned out to be an extremely long and difficult fight but the 7 of us prevailed. Congrats to Calrizien on the servers first Primal weapon and <Rampage> on another server first!

What a busy week

Velious has been keeping us very very busy. If we weren't killing raid mobs we were farming armor or other various items. This week we caught the respawns of Woushi x2, Velketor, Statue, Klandicar x2 , Zlandicar, and Sontalak.

We also got hit with a very early morning semi repop today and kicked some serious ass. While our "competition" was off killing those weak 32k VP dragons we took down Klandicar, Tormax, Dain, Lord Yelinak, and Sontalak. We only stopped there because that's all that respawned.

Grats to Fingerz, Franswa, Drumas, and Koraf on their ST keys and to everyone else on all the other amazing loot.

I want to start off by saying here at <Rampage> we take the rules of the server seriously. We try to, at all times, follow the rules laid out before us. We expect our members to respect the other people of this server as well as strongly encourage the other members of the server to inform us of any wrong doing by our members. We don't appreciate it when a competing guild makes a false accusation of a train in order to buy their raid force time to recover from a wipe. That being said, on with the update...

Another busy week for p99s top raiding guild. Nissmo and Myself had the opportunity to go on Sirkens stream last night which was a first for the both of us. Aside from comcast trying to crash our party we both had a good time. Thanks for having us Sirken!

Based on what I heard about the Empire attempts the CH chain will be so tight that it's basically irrelevant. If anything the ability to duck cancel is about 100x more relevant to that discussion.

In a mob that requires a 0 pause CH chain, I'd tend to think no duck casting is an advantage rather than a disadvantage.

Damage spikes come so frequently you cannot duck a cast at 1s left to save mana because the tank may eat a flurry round in that 1s. It would help on unexpected tank swaps, but if those are happening you may have already lost.

But if you are able to gain an extra 1-2 med ticks by sitting as you cast, like you can when duck casting isn't enabled, that helps prolong cleric mana life in a long fight.

Yea as others have said Vyemm requires a ch to land every second. Clicky CH's don't do much because by the time you realize you need one it's too late.

Just a straight up butthole-pucker fight. Tight chain, zero fuck ups, yolo.

The other thing about CH clickies on raids is that when you tend to need them, 3-4 of your most attentive raiders all burn theirs at the same time. So it's not like you have 50 reapers on your raid. You have 25, and about 15 of them will overlap because people see the same dire moment to click them in.

But for a fight like Vyemm or AoW, you have almost no chance to react. Tanks go from 100% to 0% in 1-2 seconds.

On Vyemm I NEVER duck a CH chain heal because, like Daldaen said, the tank's hp can dive at the very last tick. We start our heal as soon as we see the person before us in the chain. We're lucky if we get to sit for a tick between.

For sure. The sit casting helps a lot. What can happen on red is the tank splats and you have 8 clerics casting cheal or something on the dead tank and you can't stop it. I just think it's a nice advantage to have the clickies to fill the gap on certain situations like that. Definitely not an excuse though!
