This evening I came home to find an unexpected FedEx box at my doorstep. I wondered if I'd ordered something and forgotten, but a glance at the return address label confirmed that my memory wasn't to blame. It was from Extra Life in Salt Lake City, UT. They'd already sent me my t-shirt and gold medal, so I was puzzled as to why this mystery box was here.
After opening it up, I found a really, really cool display of thanks from the Extra Life team. They sent me an awesome plaque, a really sweet note from the Extra Life team, and a letter from Victoria Enmon's mother. They even mentioned the shoey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aypI-jQJ3Pk) I did, haha!
I wanted to share this with you all because your support made it possible for me to raise so much money for this amazing cause. Without this community I likely would have never broken $1,000 let alone $15,000. You even got my stupid face on the Extra Life home page (http://i.imgur.com/gKjrjpc.png) and it stayed there until the end of the year! Whether you contributed directly, or you simply play on Project 1999, you should feel proud to be a part of a community that is willing to pour out so much generosity. You all rock, and I can't wait to do it all over again later this year!
