Account has been wiped? Where are my characters?

I haven't logged in since late October, 2014. I couldn't remember my password so I reset it. However, now I can log in, but the character select screen is EMPTY. Where did my characters go? How can I get them back?

Double check the server you entered. Sometimes you press quickjoin to p9o and end up in some other server.

Double check the login server name, maybe you have 2 login server accounts under your eqemu?

Thanks for the swift reply. Unfortunately everything is correct. I've checked many times the correct server (p99 'blue'), and the username is correct. When I try to make a new character with the name of the wiped one, it won't let me, which suggests that it's still somewhere in the system?

if a character name is in use when you create a character, that character exists actively on some account. so either a.) you are logging into the wrong LS account, b.) that character's name was changed and someone else is using it, or c.) that character was deleted and someone else rerolled the name.
