Shadowbound Boots Quest

This quest seems to be broken. Im suppose to find a shadowed man behind a building in Mistmoore, who I have to hand a flower into get a scepter. The npc looks like a female human not a "shadowed man" on my screen and when i turn the flower in she says GET AWAY FROM ME! and she doesn't give me the scepter :mad: anyone know this problem?

Any suggestion to what my problem may be? I'm pretty confident its not faction since I've killed tons of shadowed men and also done other quests like shadowbound gloves and harvester.

I was having the same problem. I was assuming my faction needed to be better (indifferent currently) but I'm damn near certain you never had to have anything better than that to do the quest in EQ originally.

To raise faction with Ssynthi, also known as the Temple of Solusek Ro, you have to kill the "regular" shadowmen found in various places around Norrath. Lavastorm, West Commons and Lesser Fay just to name a few. Once your faction with the Temple raises some, you should be able to do the "flower quest". If not, raise your faction first by killing Shadowed Men or better yet go to South Ro and do the Cutthroat Rings quest with Ortallius or the simple 3pp quest with Rathmana Allin.)

She wouldn't take it from me at indifferent, as mentioned. So at the very least she's requiring a higher faction than she ever did originally. Kind of sounds like the other guy had even better faction and still couldn't do it.
