Cytriax Needs YOUR Help!

P99, Anyone and Everyone, I am calling you to my aid! If you have played with me (Cytriax 60 Barb Rogue) ever, or are mentioned in the Information below. Please come to my aid and help me prove to the server staff my character did exist! Keep in mind, if this happened to me, it can happen to anyone... INCLUDING YOU! Years of hard work gone, and "NEVER EXISTED" here. I came back to play only to find my character deleted. We all know we have had corrupted GM's here and other things happen. I have never seen anything like this! They say my character isn't even in a deleted log! Browse the logs and pictures below, if your in them help me out. If you were in IB or TR with me, look in logs, and pictures. Post some stuff to help me out! This is just 100% unbelievable.

=ok, ive gone over your petition, the problem is that "cytriax" has according to the database never existed. i even looked in the deleted characters table.

I thought I'd send you one last message. I know you dump a huge amount of time into this server and you probably have better things to do. However, I thought I'd show you some proof that he was actually on the server if you feel like doing some detective work.

To quickly answer the questions again. 1. I'm 100% sure the logs are from Project 1999 blue. 2. I am 100% sure of the spelling of Cytriax

If there's anything you can do, even get me a gearless/keyless, no skill, no + faction rogue back with 0% in to level 60 I would be extremely grateful. Thank you for reading my ramblings.

TL;DR = Came back to play, Character was deleted. GM's say he never existed on this server. No proof of any log in their databases that Cytriax existed. Years of work down the drain. THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU!

I will check my logs tonight and pictures. I lost my computer due to a reformat about a year ago, so probably wont have anything. Can confirm this is a RL friend that played the game hard for years. Farmed NoS with him at the beginning of Kunark and countless other things.

I also have an IP Exemption from 05-10-2011, 06:36 PM. So I could goto a LAN that weekend since my Wife was out of town to play with Teraclon/Boomgo. If my character never existed, why would I need one of those?

I'm to the point there is nothing more I can provide to prove my character existed on P99 to the GM Staff. Which is why I cam here. Just see if anyone else could provide something.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: To let you all know your years of hard work can be gone in an instant and that they will deny it even when you prove logs. That's what scares me the most and why I cannot/will not re-role. I wanted everyone to be warned of this, as I have never seen anything like this since I have been playing and following P99.

I work with SQL Databases for a living, and we backup for 10 years millions upon millions of rows of data. I would think it would be simple for their 200,000 row table max to be backed up weekly if not monthly going back years.

I think there is much more to this issue than meets the eye... There is a reason items are deleted from several/every log in a database. And it's typically so tracks cannot be followed back to someone. Whatever happened, was on purpose... or all the logs for those years would be corrupt.

I wonder if they've done partial match searches on the name. Do you remember any specific pieces of gear that would be on the character? If you gave them six or seven specific pieces of info, like four specific pieces of gear and 2 or 3 base stat values or something, maybe they could use that as a signature to winnow down.

Also, I wonder if they've checked their indexes lately; sometimes you can 'lose' records due to a corrupted index. The records physically there, you just can't get to it. Grepping a mysqldump for teh name might work in taht case.

Thanks for your comment. I did put in years here, and I had items that I would never be able to get back now. I can let the pixels go, I never came here wanting all my items back. I came here wanting my character back, but more importantly you all to realize this happens.

If the server was wiped I could accept that. If I screwed up, I could accept that... I came back to an entire account wiped clean. And more importantly clean from a database. Everyone else's (that we know of) information is still there. So someone with access to the database purposely removed me from everything. They had no script/query that was accidentally ran for this. Who would have the power to do this?

(This next part is a feeling and no proof)

It really feels like to me, we all know a GM had involvement with RMT at this point. And that he started selecting account people hadn't logged into for a year. It would be a low risk account to take everything from and sell. Clean the logs and delete all traces, free profit. There would never be a log back to him generating items or taking someones stuff.

I wonder if they've done partial match searches on the name. Do you remember any specific pieces of gear that would be on the character? If you gave them six or seven specific pieces of info, like four specific pieces of gear and 2 or 3 base stat values or something, maybe they could use that as a signature to winnow down.

Also, I wonder if they've checked their indexes lately; sometimes you can 'lose' records due to a corrupted index. The records physically there, you just can't get to it. Grepping a mysqldump for teh name might work in taht case.

No way to really verify that I suppose, so I don't see what the harm is in making the character for him unless of course he weren't really him and the real him comes to is with the same problem in a year >.<;

And you can bet your arse if that happened they were damn sure this character was somehow involved with RMT to justify getting hit so hard with the ban hammer that they removed you from everywhere like you never existed....

edit: I do feel for you if you lost your character through no fault of your own, aside from possible password sharing or some such bother, but if the staff was "working" on this, i'd have made sure to give them plenty of time to come to a possible fix before I went public.

I have given the GM's several chances through 2 petitions and multiple GM's. This was made as my last attempt to prove this character was on the server. And more importantly if they are in no way going to help me, I wanted the P99 community to be aware of this. Like I mentioned before, I have never seen anything like ever happen before.

Heallun is right, and secondly, they like to keep that information to see how it would be tied to other accounts. If they thought you RMT'd and wiped you clean from everywhere then they would have no way to see where stuff went and came from and from who to who.

Trust me, the only RMT I ever did on this server was Donating to it. This is a great project with great staff! Up until this...

Thanks so much for your kind words! I hope something can be worked out as well. I guess there is always that new Vanilla WoW server that came up? =D But I really want to play here again and be with my friends I made over the years.

He definitely existed. Him and I started our characters the same day like 5 years ago leveled all the way to 50 pre-kunark together. Myself on my bard and him on his rogue stabbing stuff in the back while i kited it around lol... Would be awesome if you came back to play man! Been way to long!
