Being married to a IT Security person, buying was the only option for Titanium and I looked and of course I had Platinum and Gold but no Titanium.....booo!

So anyway, I will probably be starting sometime Wednesday and I am looking forward to the fun of it all! I am still debating the tank, caster, melee or priest thing. My big question is for those classes not easily solo-able, are there plenty of opportunities for groups? I have played most classes but Enchanter was my main when leveling, grouping and raiding was what everyone did. I have also played a druid up soloing all before easy mode went into action. Since easy mode and easy gear mode, everything else except Rogue, any reason not to be a Rogue?

Any thoughts on where to start? I do want to be where others are. I have always been a Crush fan, but BB is cool too, Kaladim would be ok, kill lots of skellies, then run mail when I go to Gfay.

Any other thoughts would be welcome as well...see you soon.

My Homeland is Ak'anon. I ran around Steamfront for a little bit (found some companions)and made my way to the elves. Their I was met with allot of Orc slayers. (do I love frying an Orc with my fire) Never made it into Crushbone..yet, but I've seen many running out and in and around the Greater Fay parts.

I just recently made the journey to the human lands in West Antonica...I enjoy slaying Gnoll's ..ALOT..and cannot wait for my power to grow to do so...

I might make my way to the brushky ones up in the Everfrost Peaks and slay some Mammoths if they don't step on me first.

Over all I think you will find what ever path you choose you will find someone alike to share it with.

I will see you around fellow adventurer and safe travels...

Avoid Qeynos and Kunark as starting areas if you want to join groups early on. Groups won't be a problem as there are plenty of people grouping in popular spots.

Other than that, play what you want as, apart from typical xp penalties, there is no reason to not play any class if you enjoy playing them.

I had no trouble grouping on Kunark, and I'm a Necro! =] Start where you want, yes the game is unforgiving, but at least in my case I remember it being far worse in some cases than it actually was.

Seems like that situation would be the reverse.

Lol thats what i was thinking. Hubby must just be a "by the book" IT guy. OP might want to talk to her hubby about P99 though since its gonna flag the dll as a virus. Hubby might not like that and not let her play.

Current EQ software is available for free online (just not compatible because they only offer the current) so I don't see why she'd take issue with you downloading it. Especially since you've paid for it already in other forms. The Titanium download itself was free when it released, so long's you had a subscription at the time. When did live go free to play?

Anyway lol. The answer is always gfay. Best starting zone of any game ever! And there will be plenty of groups all the way to level 60 so no worries. Rogue is an excellent choice, but then so is any class. Rogues are loved in groups and at endgame for that sexy dps. If you go wood elf you'll be the only kinda rogue with forage! Buying food is for the lesser races imo.

before going to gfay consider the kobold camps just north of the newbie pit near akanon. They almost always seemed empty and the cons are universal across the board. you get no green orc pawns or yellow centurions that make it hard to solo. Orc hill was always overcamped and i could never get a group. ran all the way there at 6 and was really dissapointed. I instead went back and just non stop farmed the kobolds and ended up leveling much faster than any other toon i took to gfay. Crushbone is great experience but it is so friggen overcrowded that it can be really hard to get a group.

Though since I could not sell my Bone Chips I did go to Kaladim and turn them in....love Agnostic Illusions!

Agnostic enchanters can do what they want, including xp in CB! Only makes you kos with the warrior guild in Neriak which is easy to avoid (who goes there anyway??).

My DE enchanter went to Crushbone from 4, once I got the illusion I needed, and I got myself to amiable with the dwarves from my belts. Even when I was told my faction could not get any worse with the Indigo Brotherhood (DE warrior guild) and thought I would be KoS, I could still walk right into their guildhall; I think I was only dubious.

At some point, I also got myself to dubious with the Neriak guards though; anyone else and I'd use an illusions, but I'm already a DE, so I suppose it is time to buy up a few cases of wine...
