I did that. I gave him the tiny gem and told him he could buy booze with it. I then followed him to the jade inn where the greater spirit spawned and then nothing.

turning gem into bondl in freeport gives the faction hit

not sure if ur looking for more stuff to happen, but he def gives the faction for turn in as expected

You give bondl the tiny gem and he leads you to the greater spirit in the jade Inn. Once at the jade in the spirit spawns but when I hall the spirit nothing happens. According to the wiki I have dialog I have to do with the spirit.

Did this the other day; I stood on top of the spirit and hailing didn't net me any response. Just hailed so he pointed toward me then I started dialogue, worked fine.

what does the spirit con to you? you may have to do multiple tiny gem turn in's to bondl before the spirit will actually talk to you.

i did 3-4 gem turn in's to bondl b4 the spirit would talk to me.

nignog, he's talking about charming it to complete the quest, not charming it to gain faction....
