Tellin' you that robe is worth more than any item in Kunark once Velious drops. Donal's bp gets nerfed to uselessness and gauntlets are replaced eventually. There is only one other click heal item and thats the cleric VP weapon, this is the only one you can buy.

Aside from fungus, FBH and CoF, and maybe a haste belt this is literally the only droppable pre Velious item worth a shit. It is also the rarest item on the server.

Colgate is a saint for even offering you plebs the opportunity to buy it.

Truth be told items in general are over rated in EverQuest pre Luclin. Very few items increase your dps or power. Stats cap easily with quested armor in velious, and if you're not tanking the only stat that matters for pve is your atk which very few items can increase. Same with casters pre focus effects. The addition of focus effects and secondary stats in luclin and PoP was something noticeably lacking in 2015.

while cleric gloves are very good statwise, they do get replaced and they're by no means a gamebreaking item. they're also easily farmable if you gave enough of a shit to farm chardok royals. xygoz is limited to a 7 day timer and requires 3 groups to kill in VP

ES legs are the same as robe of the spring but 200 hp instead of 250, which is pretty big considering how much more hp people will have in velious
