After the next beta patch, the following are new, or recently changed points of interest:

10th Ring War:
This should be 100%, aside from dead dwarves spawning in thurga/b on a FAIL. We're still working on the best method for that.

Don't let the giants get to the thurgadin zone line, or you lose. Report any bugs encountered during the event, and/or general feedback. I have Sentry Badain's respawn timer temporarily set to 4 hours, for testing purposes.

Plane of Growth:
This should be 100% complete. Test Tunare herself. I'm not sure she has been attempted, but we need feedback on the event.

Test spell resists versus the growthplane npcs - they have been updated since last patch.

Projectile Collision:
Haynar: Added delayed damage for ranged weapons, due to delay from throwing/bow shooting animation, and flight time.
Haynar:Added collisions for ranged attacks and bolt spells.


I will update this thread when Rogean can patch the beta server.

Did Tormax before last patch. Then tried again after patch. The two adds now are properly linked so that was fun to play with. I hope to take another run at him given a few more clerics showing up next time we hit beta.

His melee and Rampage output seemed pretty accurate. I cannot speak to his resists or AC though, I was mostly focused on pulling and healing.

nilbog, is there any confirmation in the changelog that haynar's pvp mechanics/resist changes were applied to the beta server?

if so, could you copy/paste them here so we know exactly what to test?

Confirming this works as described and mostly as expected on both counts, though one unintended consequence with collision is that the ranger double bow damage check is only made against the intended target, which makes it possible to get the bonus vs. a rooted mob in the line of fire.

This seemed to be working to me! I took some videos on Saturday. I'll try to put them somewhere. Just have to compress them. Fraps files are terribly big.

Increase Tunare's hps/AC/Regen. Her knockback should knock back even further.
Took 60-70 lvl 60s to 30-40 mins to kill Tunare for the first time. Only tash landed on Tunare, every other spell was resisted 100%.

even unresistable malo? lifetaps?

have lifetaps been reworked to land on raid mobs? afaik blue had custom code that prevented taps from working on raid mobs because of ivandyr hooping or something

Yes 100% spell resistant during the first kill. Enchanters were used to Haste/Rune, Mages for mod rods, and necros for giving mana since nothing would work on her. Everyone else logged over to their alt rogue or whatever.

Well as for the unrestable malo, not sure. I just remember the enchanter on tash, and that was it. We didn't waste mana on anything else. I think we even stopped using tash since nothing landed on her anyways. Even with bard stacking of the tash ball,-resist song, and enchanter tash nothing landed magical.

I havent been able to help with the big raid mobs encounters but how realistic is the class makeup at these encounters

Right now anyone can have a pretty much BIS rog to log on. Are these beta mobs being destroyed with 30 rogs because people can log on a beta buff?

Well there were about 30 monks/rogs total there but more than half died to the damage shield and dot half way through or just straight up afk. I don't think it skews anything.

tons of rogues, monks, clerics, warriors all GM buffed with avatar

Dots won't stick.

Slows won't stick.

So please, no more "chain stun her to stop the silence, then get a necro to disease her to stop regen!" strats.

The only spell that sticks is the uber Wizard DD "Shock of Frost." And Tunare won't attack any level ones. So, have everyone delevel to level one (while inside PoG), hit autoattack, and come back in a few weeks.

Never fought Tunare in Velious

Live kill with in era gear/spells (spells for the most part) shows people spamming and landing lure of flame

Lure of flame aka just play a rogue for this shit

Nvm I see 1 lure of ice, still playin' a rogue or cleric

Beta kill looked like she flat out gibbed the first tank

A couple days ago I ran around for a few hours shooting bolts, arrows, and throwing spears and they all seem to work great ( there's ground collision now with arrows - no more shooting through hills it seems. Mobs in front of my target are getting hit just fine as well ) - the only thing I'm unsure of is weather or not they are supposed to have any collision with things like druid rings, trees, tents, buildings, ect. because right now arrows ( need to test more but server is down ) just go right through them - I'm unsure as to whats classic / intended
