Hi all - as an extension of my petition post, I'd like to submit the following information:

The subject in question is whether or not mobs with a despawn timer should despawn while engaged, either by combat or by simply 'hailing' them. Nilbog addresses the question in the post below, explaining that only mobs affected by day/night timers should despawn in combat.

http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88642&page=2

Nilbog states the following:

"Triggered npcs not on day/night despawn are written to not despawn if engaged and their timer elapses"

Based on Nilbog's final comment, I submit that Zephyl is NOT on the day/night despawn and should NOT de-pop in mid combat. He is triggered by killing a PH and the time of day is not a factor.

Additionally, this forum post from 2002 on monkly-business goes on to describe how they were able to, at that time, successfully keep Brother Zephyl from despawning by hailing and immediately engaging him (Thanks Eunomia for finding this information for me).

If this is in fact determined to be a be a bug, I'd like to request that my original petition be re-opened (see attachment).

Sincerely,

Mario

Can't help you with the robe, but fixed, pending update.

Hailing does not prevent depop unless that despawn is triggered by arriving at a specific spot, he will no longer despawn during combat though.
