So I'm a 45 enchanter and I just found the great exp that is com. What's the best way to solo here?
Up to now I've rooted mob, broke pet, rooted, nuked down. But they hit hard, gems are costly for rune, and discordant mind eats mana hard still. Is this the best way to solo in here or should I do something else like me wipe the mob and finish, med then finish pet? I don't like pet exp penalty especially in a hell level. Thanks.

I've been doing a lot of charming in CoM on my necro - while the breaking of charm and nuking dead is the right strat to get max xp - as an enchanter at 45 you'd be better off duoing with a healer or necro IMO.
I did tons of soloing/duoing at stables, temple, etc and the xp is usually better duoing since its cleaner and faster kills if you have a sizable camp, and no need to break charm for full xp. Plus there are always lots of people in zone so usually good to duo with a healer to share mobs and better your xp.
Biggest issue I have soloing is mobs don't always die at same rate since most camps in CoM have mobs up to 3+ level difference. Due to this i'd find it hard as an enchanter to solo without eating pet xp penalty (Just my 2 cents I don't have an enchanter) - on necro I can just root rot if the life varies too much.
TL : DR - best choice is probably to duo around 45 with a healer or necro (for spot heals and extra CC) at stables or temple.

I wouldn't use discordant mind. Overkill. I use the lvl 34 nuke.

I would give pet a torch and have him attack target. Keep target rooted. Use low lvl slow if mob im fighting a mob who is higher then pet. Once target is 5%, break charm and mez. Kill target, watch pet regen to 100% in 30 secs, re tash and charm and on to the next one.

Npcs regen health faster then pc or pets. When charm is broken, the mob isnt a pet and regens like an npc would

Get out of aggro range and spam the low level mez (with high men blur component). When done correctly the mob will no longer be a pet, will not be in combat, and will regen 5% a tick.
Make sure to root before hand because mez will expire and it will go wandering off. When full health. Charm. Dispell root and good to go.

Maybe invest in 2 adamanite rings also. Give 2 to pet for -20 MR

From my understanding... Pet can only benefit from 1 ring worn.

You made me google and it found this post:

If the same is true here on p1999 then you are correct with the 1 ring assumption. This essentially doubles my stock of adamantite bands! (cause math)
Anyone have a reason to refute the 1 finger/wrist/ear slot on the pets? Don't really see any research backing that statement on the site linked in the thread

Why not cast mem blur instead of a bunch of mez's?

Why not cast mem blur instead of a bunch of mez's?
Same failure rate, have to root, more mana, mem blur has additional cooldown, no use outside blurring so have to swap in...
