Mid 30's Leveling - Dungeon Group

So I've been wanting to play my warrior more, but have had an incredibly hard time finding anyone to group with. Had a great group in Sol A last night, but were only able to stay for a little over an hour, since it took nearly 2 hours to scavenge 4 people to go with. I did /who all 30-37 of every class and sent out nearly 30 tells, only to be met with no response or no thanks.

Here is what I propose.
Anyone out there have a mid 30's character or alt they'd like to level up? Tired of the Mistmoore Grind? Anyone want to check out obscure zones or dungeons they've never explored? Let's use this thread as a place to hopefully pick a time and place to get some groups going. I don't care about the group make up, and have had some of the best times with unorthodox groups. Let's try and make it work!

Awesome, glad to see there are people looking to break out of the normal routine and visit some new places. I kind of fluctuate with my play times/days. Even if I'm not on to put together a group, please use this thread to set up some of your own!

I would LOVE to check out those zones about. It's hard enough finding people for Sol A, Kunark dungeons are damned near impossible, even when I provide the transportation. I'd done Dalnir a couple times, with mixed results. Not my favorite place, but the exp was great. I camped Xalgoz back on live for something, but that was 10 years ago. That's the extent of my experience of Kaesora. I've never done droga/nurga whatsoever, so I'm definitely in there.

Level 37 Bard (Menolee) is happy to go along! I have been putting together groups and tanks seem to be the most difficult role to fill. My healer friends will be ecstatic not to have to heal a Bard, Rogue or Monk "tank". Much like you, I have had minimal success getting groups in Mistmoore. I/we have been going to:

SolA (mostly green now)/SolB (bats! why does it have to be bats!?)
LGuk (EE bags for everyone! Hey! FBSS isn't camped??)
Cazic Thule (helping SKs get armor and alligators taste like chicken)
Kaesora (quest items, bags, keys)
Dalnir (helping Monk get armor)

Much prefer a good dungeon crawl to an outdoor zone!

However, being the primary "recruiter" for groups is starting to take its toll, and leaving me a little burned out. It often takes 30-40-50 tells to individual players to get a handful of replies to form these groups. Everyone wants to group and exp, but few if any want to help look for others. This leaves me sending out all the tells, trying to pick a location, consolidate everyone, and coordinate transportation. Sometimes it takes 1-1.5 hours to make a group, which often leaves me little time to actually play.

That being said, please feel free to continue to use this thread to look for other players or help forming groups. I think I'm going to take a little time off, join the masses, and get in where I fit in for a while. I can still be reached on here or on any of the characters in my sig. If you need a tank, let me know!

I'm still semi retired with Oggre, but I've gotten my necro up to 30, so I may be popping in from time to time to try and find groups for him. Sol A with my warrior was blast in my early 30's, both profitable and great exp. Now if only I could find a reliable tank...

I enjoy playing my necro, but am tired of the solo game, and am itching to group. Sol A, Kaesora, you name it! I can even help provide transportation for any future group. Pretty much like everybody else in this group, I am super keen for this. I missed a heap of the low/mid level Kunark dungeons my first go round on live and would love to revisit them.

I spent most of my early 30s in Cazic and am blown away that people avoid it here - I loved that place!

That's the rub, right there.

Myself and a couple of players tried this in Live. We grouped in Sol A and had a fantastic time. However, it never really picked-up because co-coordinating interested parties was akin to herding cats.

Fast forward to P99 and inspired by a couple of threads posted in the Intro forum, we have created a GSP [Guild Static Party] that meets at fixed times per week. We now use Yammer to communicate and co-ordinate Guild and GSP activities.

I'd suggest that you use a similar tool and put the feelers out for players to get involved. As you have found, the ratio of players who want to assist coordinating and those who want to group and exp is quite a large differential. It may be an idea to bend the ear of a couple of Guilds and see if you can pull upon their experience and learning in co-ordinating Guild events / raids, to create a check-list of considerations, as well as common issues that you will need to consider.

Do not underestimate transportation and the time it takes to get from one side of the World to the other. One of our Guild members volunteers their time to transport the GSP around (if required) and occasionally baby-sits. I can well appreciate how difficult it would be to co-ordinate a number of disparate players of different races, religions, and locations to actually make it to the agreed meeting spot at a defined time!

Sadly, I'm too low a level and the time-zone is all wrong for me to participate. That said, I'm all for these type of player-led initiatives.

I think SplitPaw is the way to go. It is a damn challenging zone. Not some great loot place, but sort of like Befallen, just gives you a smile on your face for sort of winning in a really hard zone that takes a lot of thinking, planing to pull of. :cool:
