Can your tradeskill level surpass your current level skill cap? So like at level 5 I should cap out my 2 handed slashing at 30 skill points, does this cap apply to tradeskills as well?

Tradeskills are limited by level cap.

Tradeskills (other then research) are NOT level capped.
the first one to 201 can go to 250 the rest are capped at 200. It was very common back in the day on live to have a low level tradeskill mule.
