Shiny Robe of the Underfoot / Kejar the Mighty possibly bugged

To turn in the SMR to Kejar, I usually use a rogue worshiping Brell named Waycool so most faction is acceptable on the trip down to Kejar the Mighty, besides those ghostly ladies and the rats.

Once I get to Kejar, I would be sneak hiding behind him (because he is KOS) and open up a trade which breaks invis, and then turn the robe in, receive a hunk of metal or an underfoot robe, and then be killed by the other NPC near Kejar, or by Kejar himself.

Now it seems that Kejar instantly aggros as soon as trade window is open and the turn in doesn't have a chance to succeed even if I force it and turn in the robe just the instant before my death.

I don't this NPC always behaved this way. Does anyone have more experience with this quest? Possibly I am doing something wrong now but a while back like a year ago I was able to turn in two robes with this method and successfully received a shiny hunk of metal in return. Now I receive no reward or EXP and just die.

I did that last week and they are KoS, I was able to sneak/hide in the corner, drop hide then do turn ins and he didn't turn to kill me. But sneak/hide did drop sneak as well has hide and got me killed.

But everything I read online and what faction they should be on should be non kos to brell on the same faction as the rest of the golems.

use hide/sneak to get behind him

turn off hide

begin handing in robes from behind him

he also pops/depops.. unsure of timer be patient

probably schnozz is aggroing you and kejar is assisting; make sure you are behidn both of them
