still offering to do a item / plat transfers for you please /tell Earthcaller i will be located at torch 1 in EC tunnel for a donation
how it works you hand me bags maximum of 6 at a time or plat i stand there holding them while you log to another char i then hand you the bags / plat and you give me a donation (what ever you like) for the service
i know trust is an issue let me assure you no matter what you hand to me you WILL receive it on the char you wanted i have no intention of ripping anyone off not to mention this isent live GMs would be all over me like a rash if i did gank items which i wont
thanks to the people who have donated for this already have gotten some nice wis druid items from the proceeds and some noobs have gotten some items that during a trade over were eather lore items or i was told i could keep i handed them out in EC tunnol
thanks /tell earthcaller if you need any help

I wish services like this were used more often, but the people who actually have really good shit, will just dual client anyway real quickly from their "wife's" account to bypass all this.

I just drop items on the ground in an obscure location and pick them up on my other char. They're all on the same account, proof I'm not boxing!

Did this once, items were picked up with a quickness. Guess someone saw me run up the hill. It was only a bit of leather armor in a bag but still...
Good service to offer really.

Given the amount of transfers i get asked to do by people i don't know, i'd say there's alot of trusting people out there.

ya there are many very nice people playing but being told im ruining EC that im providing a service no one needs and contently being told im going to keep the items / plat people have trusted me with kinda sucks
basically im not a child who's out to rob people i work from home and have EQ running in the background while im busy so i have plenty of time to just stand there doing trade overs i thought it was a good idea and i get to make a little plat for my self but the constant bitching just makes it not worth it and i dont really want to get a bad name for my char

The reason this service isn't needed is because anyone that has any type of wealth they need to transfer should have a friend they would trust in game over a stranger in the game.
It also adds an extra concern when someone is asking to be the person you trust with your items that you don't know. What's the difference between you and any other person running around in EC? I wouldn't want to make a bet that a random person would give me back all my stuff.
There is a difference between being an untrusting person and being naive. People are going to question whether or not you are a scammer unless you are already well known.
*Incoming derail
Example: I use to play a game "The Realm Online," which was the first mmorpg. Trading was huge in this game but there was no trade window, someone had to hand first. People built up reputations for months on this game to be the middleman in trades. If someone in that game tried to tell everyone they wanted to be a middleman from the start for a big trade - they would be labeled a scammer. It just doesn't make sense.
People would actually build up reputations to be middlemen until they could score a huge trade and keep everything.... its funny that the easier things get, like trade windows, huge aspects of games are lost that actually added a lot of drama/fun to the games.
Trade windows - lose the ability to become an honest middle man
Shared bank slots - lose the service you are trying to provide
Easy porting everywhere - no more wizard/druids making plat from ports
No Exp Loss from dieing - no cleric rez
No corpse retrieval - no rogues getting corpses, necros summoning
Instances - no competition
People get gratification from helping people out and being useful - thats what all the convenience takes away from the community.
