Followed Directions no luck

I have followed the websites directions.

I downloaded a fresh install from Steam, Removed the recommended files and replaced them with the P99 files, yet it will not load and appears to still load the Live launcher, nothing has patched, just the files downloaded from steam. WinEQ, or manually running yeilds no results. Any suggestions?

It get stuck at logging into server please wait.

So the steam version automatically includes the patches?, I tried going through kickass methods mentioned, however all they ended up giving me were spyware and bad things.

you have to find a copy of everquest titanium, steam version wont work

The Everquest titanium on there from 7 years ago works fine.

I went a different route to get the right version, Hopefully this will work. :) Thank you for the responses. Now just need to figure out what to play :)
