View Full Version : Puzzling tells

Level 1 cleric steps out of Ak'Anon for the first time, receives a tell from a person unknown:
"<name unknown> says you are a ninja looter in <zone far away>"
Level 3 bard killing bats in Kelethin receives a tell from a person unknown:
"<name unknown> says you should be blacklisted, what did you do to him?"
What are these tells about? Should they be ignored? Do they need a response? What information are they trying to get?
Very puzzled

Just some bored neckbeards trying to be funny. I get them a few times a session normally. I personally just disregard them. If persistent I'll /petition.

Hey Menoly. Last night I was streaming ever quest. There is a troll who takes the popular eq stream and mass tell spams the entire server (usually on a gnome character) saying that the streamer is saying something about you.
The other poster is correct, and you can just disregard the tells. Sorry for any disruption in your evening!

I think this troll should be doing it to rangers, not to gnomes. Gnomes are awesome!

What if the person sending the tells is actually the streamer? What if he is trying to stir controversy in order to get people to visit his stream, thus earning him internet points/moneys? If this turns out to be true, then does this mean the streamer needs to be banned for boxing?

You ain't seen nothing. Figure it as some folks have a very strange sense of humor....or are outright mentally ill.

That means that Hathaway (redwjamz) and I are the same person- although there are times where we both stream at the same time as it's happened to both of us.
But you have a nice thick plot in a pot there, throw on some tinfoil and you can keep your stew warm for ages :p

When I made this forum account. I was sent a private message from Galry asking me about a fungi tunic. I was  just as you.

these tells are so illogical, even if they're for the purpose of trolling streamers.
it's like spilling some water on the ground and everytime someone goes around it you're like "HAH! LOOK WHAT I MADE YOU DO!"

They also did it about ambahpants or whatever saying her tits were out on stream or something, which they obviously weren't... The guy streams it.
His twitch name, which I have reported several times to twitch is: EQBrowser
