I recently started playing Red server (played original EQ many many years ago) and am having a blast! I do have an issue that is happening often enough that I was hoping to get some help with. To start with my ping is generally around 160 (second bar is 100% and green).
Sometimes I seem to lose connection to the server that I can't get back until I camp out and log back in. I have observed this happen in the following scenarios:
1. Fighting a mob (solo) when everything stops moving - I no longer see attack animations of either myself or mob, and although I can use skills nothing seems to register. even thought he enemy is still alive, I need to sit, camp, and relog which fixed it
2. Fighting a mob (group) same scenario but all the other PCs around simply disappear. They can still see me move around (so they can see me camp), and I will continue to gain experience in the group if I don't camp and rejoin immediately.
3. Other scenarios is when this happens in town - if I /con something I won't see text about this, or if I use skills I won't receive skill points for a long time, I'll know that something is up.
Has anyone else experienced this? It happened a few nights ago 4 or 5 times in a 2 hour group session.
