So I'm going away for a few days and would still like to play the game. I thought, if the game ran at 1999 internet would the downloads be negligible (say 10-20 mg an hour) or would it kill my mobile downloads through my phone?

I used foxfi to play at my buddies house one time, which is an app that allows you to tether your phones internet, I forget what their limitation is on the free version but we burned through it in like.. a half hour at most?

Wow, thats not encouraging
Well, as I said-- I have no idea what their limitations are on the free/trial version.

I average about 4MB/hr playing P99 (and nothing else).

If you download the free version of foxfi then it has a limit before it resets your connection. This is purely to push people to buy the premium version which does not do that. As for how much data is used, this has been asked a lot believe it or not. The conclusion?
Super low useage, so low that you shouldn't even worry about it as long as p99 is the only thing your doing. I think 4MB/hour does sound about right.

I understand why foxfi free shut down on me, I was just saying that whatever the cap for the free version was, it was hit in a matter of minutes :P
p99 uses less bandwidth per hour then browsing imgur for 1min.
I tether while at work on my tmobile connection and it uses something like 3-4mb an hour

Thanks for the replies, I not actually sure what the point of foxfi but I'll look into it. Can you set a download limit?
Or is it just an android app that allows you to use the phone as a hotspot? I'm pretty sure U can use my iphone without it
some carriers block tethering if you dont pay extra, apps like foxfi work around that.
though you can always (for android at least) run an adb shell command to hide tethering then go off usb, which doesn't require root access.
