lns rule lawyer please

First off i want to say i respect the people who got YT on me and i am not complaining that they killed me. I just want to know what the rules state and how they apply.

The short story - it was 1 am my time on a raid in some zone. I needed to log for the night and used a OT hammer while fighting the raid mobs... I appeared in OT (i should have zone plugged) and lost to fair pvp.

I died to PVP... I had to log... I was not able to log onto the game again for almost 24 hours. Its December... i have a family and work i cant just get in game.

So... I log on almost 24 hours later and call LNS.

Is this legal or not?

In this setting since it was 24 hrs, LnS wouldn't cover you that second time coming around. Gotta be careful about whose in zone and in range to you at all times

If a player got suspended for not respecting a LNS from a death 24 hours ago I'd be worried for the box :p

ya. can't call LNS. get YTd again and then you can call it.

EDIT: reason is, the guy(s) in zone have no idea what was going on yesterday, but today, you're in the zone and a legitimate target. it's shitty to kill naked ppl for no reason, but they still don't know if you even got a legit corpse there. you can log off whenever you want but just because you're naked doesn't mean you're immune to pvp

Why would someone want to kill a guy on CR anyways? Unless he was someone special that deserved it or was using it as a some kind of sneak tactic.

LnS on VZ (where it originated) was great because it was player ran and enforced. When its a GM rule you'll inevitably get people trying to toe the boundaries and lawyer it.

Some people play for pixels, others play for pvp? Yt is the only quantifiable way of recording your eq prowess other than recording it all.

Most people have a pvp mindset from live, where any anybody not guilded gets attacked and killed naked or not. On my server it was teams, the enemy team members would be farmed basically as many times as possible, if they were naked or had just been killed it didn't matter. Most people played these kind of servers for years and if they see you naked they going to treat you the same way they did on live eq, unless lns is called soon and aggresively. Lns is pretty generous and it's a nice policy, only thing is it doesn't allow you to grief douchebags off the server, to bad.

YT is kinda dumb considering how much easier it is for certain classes to get it compared to others

I honestly don't think it's a big measure of skill that a rogue can wait at OT boat for someone to hammer in, snare poison and disc them while they can do almost nothing about it

True the real measure of skill is your rep among players, if your a shm for example might not get biggest yt but if you are good enough enemies will fear you whether alone or in a a team.
