Honestly the the real catalysts were lovely / most of IF and OOT joining lovely / ban on holo / uprising merging with nihilium, all of which nizzar had very little to do with. Once all of that occurred nihilum had 49 members on a 60 pop box and it became impossible to ever contest again, despite how shitty the guild culture or scummy the leadership was.

nizzar was a worthy squire, but he did not have the reaction speed nor the critical thinking skills to become a true hero

Most people have success due to a combination of ability and opportunity. Saying Nizzar did nothing to make Nihilum what it was is pretty short-sided, regardless if you disagree with how he ran his guild. In the end, he was his own undoing because of his inability to have a strong senior management level. Every time he was absent even a few days the foundation started to crack, only to be repaired when he returned. When he finally was gone for good there was nobody left willing or able to pick up the pieces.

I don't see these same problem with Holo though, which makes me think they have a chance to stick around a long time. Honestly, I am not sure that makes the server any better than it was. It may be more friendly to new players, but eventually the crown of retirement mentality will set in with no real dynamic competition at the end. The last real chance this server had for a RZ like culture of accountability was the month or so after Nihilum was disbanded. You can debate who is at fault for a new mega-guild rising from the ashes, but the thought of 3-4 30ish man crews is all but dead at this point.

But Nizzar did have alot to do with most of us from OOT who joined, no idea about people from IF though. He was also Guoldleader when we took in alot of Uprising, so he had alot to do with that too.

Nizzar also ran the guild for the majority of the servers history, like him or hate him, he certainly played a big role either way.

Also, this is pretty ancient history and far off topic... Tune's a good guy, hope to see him back soon.

I had absolutely nothing to do with GM's banning Holocaust, I wasn't even online that day, if I recall correctly it was a Saturday I think? I made one joke about it once because I happened to have been troll booted by Cast the day before and therefore got spared a suspension from it. Arzak was the main player behind the Uprising merger with Nihilum. To be honest, Nihilum was on the ropes before the Holo ban and Uprising merger and it was looking rather grim for them. As holocaust has shown now, and nilly before, once a guild is on top cemented as the source of PvE loot, it is almost impossible to topple them on a low pop server.

none of this is anything to be proud of but ashamed.
