I like how it depends on drivers and monitor settings, with some luck 90% of the population won't have any problems at all, and the remaining 10% gets told to gtfo.

If you've ever played on a server that allowed two boxing, when you opened the second client the first one would go very dark until you got to the login screen on the second. Sounds like they made a change to when the video settings kicked in based on the patch notes and something backfired horribly.

Anyone noticing other issues like resolution, clip distance, spell effects, etc? Or is it gamma only?

So classic was I have to sit down and THEN camp out? nah I dont remember that lol now we have to sit down then type camp, when before /camp would camp you out even when standing.
I just logged off with hopes that I can return again AFTER this has been fixed because right now the game is too dark for me to even play and this sucks.

well, too us that don't know what that means lol how do you initialize the display? lol

it's so dark on my machine, i was running down a road following it, got turned around somehow and ran back the way I came ..... I am on a $3,000 machine, so it's not my machine. What do people having this problem need to do to fix this? I have no clue what that meant by initializing the display, is that something "I" do?

It'll get fixed. It is obviously fucked up by the amount of people complaining. I've always heard that "night vision" wasn't possible due to the client itself (Sony basically removed it because it made playing human/erudite/barbarian too hard or some bs). Hosing the gamma settings even if it was to achieve a darker effect purposely is obviously effecting people differently and causing issues outside of the game while it is running.

I don't know why they touched it to begin with but w/e.

Why donate to the server when they have my info right out my paypal? Some nerd(sektor) will get banned and use this to "get back"....
