Il existe des cultures de groupe, en fonction des réseaux. Il y a une culture Facebook, une culture Tumblr, comme il y avait différentes cultures sur Usenet... Dans le cas d'un média comme le vôtre, même s'il ne fonctionne pas comme un forum ou un réseau social, il peut y avoir une culture qui émerge et influence le ton des commentaires. Cette culture se forme autour des commentateurs les plus fréquents : si quelques individus instaurent la mode du commentaire négatif, d'autres commentateurs vont ensuite être influencés dans ce sens et le ton général des commentaires sera négatif.

Mais dans la grande communauté du lectorat, on retrouve seulement une minorité qui commente. Si au sein de cette minorité, l'idée qu'il faut être extrêmement critique et agressif à l'égard du contenu émerge, cela peut influencer à long terme les commentateurs – et même le lectorat !
