Velious Rogue Offhands

So I am curious if anyone knows what become the best offhands for rogues come Velious (provided Ragebringer stays primary).

How do SCD / BoTGDE / EoN stack up in Velious?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

EoN and SCD have very very good ratios (.56 and .555) and I would consider them the Velious bottom floor ratio for a raid viable weapon.

Like for Kunark, I'd consider .5 to .62 as your raid viable weapon ratio choices for raiding as a rogue from low to high end. So we have Jade Maces / CSS / Jade Axe at the low end. EoN /SCD as middle grade. Razor Sharp Short Sword at the high end.

Velious ratios go up to .79. So the .55 would be low end. ~.6 mid grade. ~.7 high end and .78 .79 uber.

That's how I'm looking at it. Doesn't look like their's a whole lot of itemization for us tho until you start killing Tormax or get into NToV. That's where the majority of the fun Velious .6+ stuff is concentrated. So I definitely think all of us are gonna be getting some serious use out of Kunark items for quite some time.

TL;DR: Get the highest ratio item you can in your offhand.

The Exquisite Velium Warspear and Battlehammer both get .6 ratios and are droppable. The sword is at .57 is a little worse. Those are gonna be the best items non-raiders are gonna get. So .56 really isn't all that far off.

Yeah was definitely wondering about droppables especially, because I am sure Velious raid weapons are going to be in short supply for quite some time.

To reiterate what Cecily already said, unless you are killing Tormax, Vyemm, Vulak, Tunare, Dozekar, or Sleeper's Tomb, then Exquisite Velium weapons are your best bet for offhands.

The exquisites should drop from the rats in DN or some of the dragons in WW.

Some alternatives to SCD/BotGDE/EoN are Crescent Blades of Luclin (10/18)(Woushi) or Skyfury Scimitar (13/23) (Skyshrine trash mobs).


Willsapper from Vaniki (13/20, piercing primary only) (35% slow proc) is a 1.5-2 group kill, just has insane respawn algorithm and will be heavily tracked by all. That is if you want to throw Ragebringer into your secondary.
