Wife makes a mouth-watering butternut squash soup with lime and curry. We've been having a lot of it lately because it is gourd season, after all.
Pho related: the best Vietnamese in Des Moines is from a little gem of a restaurant named A Dong. (http://www.adongrestaurant.com/) If you're ever lost in the middle of America, I highly recommend giving A Dong a shot.

I don't use that much just one container of half and half and no whole milk. I add carrots and celery. You can get something almost exactly the same at olive garden it is too salty though imo.

I had split pea + ham soup for dinner+ leftovers lunch
Avgolemono soup with extra lemon. So good.
I've had some good soups at our local Pho but nothing that has really made me crave to go back. Some of that chili looks pretty good. My wife makes some good crock pot chili. No idea what she actually puts in it.

Also, Brunswick stew.

Should have asked them to remove the 2 that are working at 15% and made some kidney soup with it. I'm sure I taste delicious, at least that's what your mom tells me while she wears her visor before going on walks with you.
