My First Weekend on Red - Loving It.

So I openly asked advice on rolling an Iksar Warrior and was persuaded not to. So I compromised, and rolled a Gnome Warrior: Yoghurt.

I've been subject to some great generosity and have a couple of decent weapons and a full set of patch work (*flex) topped of with a bronze helm. I've also witnessed some brutal PvP and been ruthlessly murdered by one of my own kind.

Brilliant fun and looking forward to more if the same!

Be prepared to get owned by numerous twinks. Sucks trying to start on this server.

Once you get ganked by your first few fungi twinks, just keep pressing on and you will out level them eventually. Once you hit your 50s+ you will generally want to find a guild and decide for yourself what side you want to be on. The way I see it there are more then just 2 options right now but regardless at 50+ you can't be neutral, If you dont have X guild tag you will be slaughtered by the other guild. If you have no guild tag, you will be slaughtered by both guilds.

However beware regardless which guild you join - each of them have their own assortments of dickheads with low lvl fungi twinks that roll around full raid buffed to grief their own members as well as new and other players and think its funny.

i didnt see many people. one time i tried to root a sk who had mobs on him because i guess pvp ya know, but he resisted and ran away

i guess my point is dont listen to the hype about being killed. this server is lonely plain and simple

Yes. So far this has been my experience also. I get random tells all the time just to shoot the breeze about stuff. I have yet to run past someone and not have them stop and talk for a bit. I'm truly immersed!!!

What this guy said. Started wood elf warrior (I know) 8 weeks ago. Get to know others levelling same time as you and learn of some out of the way levelling spots. If you sit in unrest and mistmoore and solb in rags expect to be ganked a fair bit.

Just started this weekend as well. Having great fun so far. Not many people but it's not barren either.

I never really had a problem with twinks. Sure they ran the group I was in out but never even got killed by one if I recall correctly as most of the time I was oor. Even when they ran the group out of the zone, 30 minutes later I was back there xping. Or was a good time to log off anyway. I died to mobs way more than to players as a newbie to EQ which is way worse with the exp penalty.

Fun fact:

You can play red while auctioning things in EC on blue.

Get a couple people together and leave that over crowded server with an over inflated economy where epic mobs are farmed around the clock for MQ so you can't get it yourself.

TRUST ME.

You do NOT want to be in Velious on blue if you can help it. It's going to be like 2k+ people all fighting over portal teeth (who will need them for ALL of their alts too) and crashing the SHIT out of all the zones.

Holo is crootin' and looks forward to new friendly, dedicated faces who enjoy set raid times with no tracking of mobs for 5+ hour stretches.

A lot of these issues should have been resolved. if anyone knows of any others that still work, please submit a petition on the petition/exploit forum.
