When I try to enter world after creating a char I get:
You have been disconnected.
Tried to run the whole setup thing again but no good. Anyone had this issue? Could it be vista related or cpu affinity??

trying to fix affinity for one cpu, when I set that via
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C START "Everquest" /high /affinity 1 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme
I get UI error when I start the application. Not sure if it rings a bell anywhere

I get this error when I try to switch accounts to fast. It could be an IP issue if there is another account using the same IP

Thanks so much for that answer, I was getting grey hairs galore.
My GF is also playing so either she was playing or I logged a char in on her comp while I was trouble shooting.
Ok, any way to run 2 accounts on 1 IP? otherwise it kinda kills the idea for us to play here.

You need to post in the petitions/exploit section (http://project1999.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25) for an IP exemption. I'll paste this here, just to be thorough:
------------
- Multi-boxing is not allowed. Players are only allowed to play one client per RL person. We will be enforcing this rule and we ask for everyone’s co-operation to just abide by our wishes. Breaking this rule will result in a ban.
------------
IP Exemption: This is for requesting to be exempt from the limit of 1 connection per IP Address. You may request exemption if you have more than 1 real person playing from the same IP. When posting for this, please include the account names of every person that will be playing from the same IP.
