Water...how to get OUT of it.

This may be covered in another post someplace, but DAAANG, I need out of the water. I've tried re-configuring keyboard maps, my mouse maps....have to hit the space-bar many,many,many times to get above water to breathe. Not normal. Have seen my toon try to climb ladders out of water, they make the motions, but don't go anywhere. Is falling into water our doom? Have I the latest patch?

Try switching to first person and looking up - should do the trick!

trick to swiming is be in first person mode. direction you looking is how move.
Look straight up at edge of water. should jump right out

You can also usually get out by holding down Page Up for a second or two, which will make you look up, as if you looked up in first person. Swim against a ledge and you will pop up on land, if it's not too high.

Inverted controls should really be the main focus of GameGate IMO.

In case anyone else has this issue, my game client is having some problems getting out of water, most notably in Cabilis. I have to use window mode and take focus off the game, otherwise I end up stuck on the wall 100% of the time when I should be "jumping" out.

The worst place I've found is falling in the holes in the ice in Everfrost. If rewind doesn't work, most everything else doesn't.
