So, got about 8.5k to spend. Are there any must-haves? What would you get?
Gonna duo mostly with a cleric friend of mine.

55 hp rings, Opalline Earrings, Rod of Insidious Glamour + A Crude Stein, 7 cha bracers, Robe of the Ishva, Gatorscale Sleeves, Siryn Hair Hood, Elliptical Veil, Drake Hide Leggings, Sarnak Arcane Fetish, Golden Efreeti Boots, Braided Cinch Cord, Dusty Bloodstained Gloves, Embroidered Black Cape.

That should get you to 60 easily and all that should cost less than 8.5k - GEBs the item worth more than 1k. Enchanters super cheap to twink.

Prioritize the 55 HP rings and cheap CHA gear over the INT gear for leveling up.

goblin gazughi ring, I think they are pretty cheap these days. way more important than gebs for a similar price

Eh GEBs are down to like 3k now.

I made it to 60 without a Goblin ring - but I'm a Dark Elf with hide.

Why gebs over loam boots????

Incandescent Mask -- do quest or buy mask.
Mystic Cloak quest -- if good race.

Enchanter can do Mystic Cloak quest regardless of race.

Also you just need wolf form if you are evil to do it.

The ring is the single most valuable item you will get IMO. Especially for under 6k.

Even if duoing, you will be breaking and killing pets. I've duoed my enchanter almost exclusively with a cleric. We are both 40 now, and still I'm finding it more efficient to just break pet and kill for exp. On tough room breaks I'll ask for a CH to my pet, purely out of safety. But most of the time it's faster for your duo partner to save mana to nuke kill pets and spot heal you when needed, and just break pets for exp.

Why gebs over loam boots????

Loam boots kinda suck. +8 cha, +15 mana, +10 poison resist

GEBS +9 INT.. fat mana upgrade.

Loam boots crush the insidious slippers tho.. those are even worse.

Keep loam/insidious on you for resists though.

I switched from GEBs to Loam after I hit 200 int from planar/raid gear (which has a mix of INT/CHA instead of the all CHA gear I was wearing prior) after hitting 60.

I thought the gobbie ring only broke animal charms?

nope it breaks charm which is why the ring is worth as much as it is.

The thing is there are other slots where you can win bigger. For example, GEBs+7 cha bracer vs Supple Scale Armband+Loam is a clear win: at 6 mana / softcap int, you get (8cha/70 mana vs 7 cha/54 mana).

Any kind of invis breaks charm. If you don't have a gobby ring consider using IVU for your charm breaker; yes it costs 10 more mana but it has a shorter cast time than regular invis.

Was not aware :-)
Now i have to save some pp though. Have killed around 70 couriers and no ring, so the price is fair enough.

Level 1, Taper Enchantment will break most charms also, until pets have buffs on them.
Only 5 mana.

IMO the goblin ring was a lot more important before clickies reset the global cooldown. If you invised yourself you had to wait 2.25 seconds while your ex pet was beating on you. Now its just saves mana (and the time to mem the spell). Still nice, of course, but I would definitely go with a goblin earring + a bunch of int/cha/hp gear in some proportion rather than being naked with a goblin ring.

Until the dispell fix (which should be next patch). And that has a cast time.

yea i still agree, if you can get 200 cha this is the next thing to get no matter what. seriously dont worry about int.

Ok gonna try and get the ring somehow. I went the other way around and have 205 cha, 140ish int but no ring :-)

Rod of insidious glamour works here too and serves the purpose of getting cha up as well

what is dispell fix?

Dispells should not have a guaranteed chance to remove an effect.

It should be a dice roll.

The quality and quantity of the roll(s) is(are) determined by the spell (and maybe the level of caster).

For example:

Taper Enchantment has 1 roll and has let's say... A 30% chance to remove a buff
Cancel Magic has 1 roll and has let's say... A 50% chance to remove a buff
Annul Magic has 2 rolls and has let's say... 70% chance to remove a buff on each roll (so it can remove 0-2)

Etc. I don't know the exact percentages but that's how it is supposed to work and I'm pretty sure that's how it's working on beta. Would need to investigate more though.

Yeah it's basically a crap shoot. Sometimes it takes the first thing in your buff slot, other times it'll take off the awesome HP buff you have buried behind a lot of garbage.

Makes fighting dot casters a lot more costly.

Yea wow, when does that go in? About a year into Velious?

No it's actually the original classic dispel code. It's just a giant mess to program and has taken a while to research and figure out.

I've got a fair setup that I've been rebuilding recently. 170 int and charisma unbuffed, with a few cha/int/mana on specific items. Going to do one last sweep through the wiki for possible upgrades that don't cost too much.
