Hello all, I've been away for quite sometime. When I did play, I always soloed. Now I'm back and looking to enjoy the grouping aspect of Eq. A list of dungeons/areas people often group to level in would be greatly appreciated. A place where I could sit and lfg, maybe perhaps get on a waiting list etc...

I had alot of troubles finding a group at lvl 18-21, seemed like highpass was the only place I could find a group. But im sure there were other places for that level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Oasis is pretty good until 20

Mistmoore around 20 is p good, although until at least the mid 20s you'd mostly be lfg for the pond group (can be a bit crowded)

My favorite is Unrest at 12 or 13 to 21, Mistmoore at 21 to 25, and then start living at Highpass Keep from 25 to at least 39. Make a killing off goblin ears from 25-33, when they stop being good EXP, then use the money to get some gear, and start killing guards in Highpass Keep. Guaranteed 5 plat each with their fine steel swords and they're pretty easy to get solo.

If you want the EZ-mode leveling route, it goes:

1-12 Newbie zone+adjacent dungeon
12-19 Oasis
19-25 Unrest
25-35 Mistmoore
35-55 City of Mist
55-60 Chardok AE (buy it or roll a class that can do it).

There you go, cookie-cutter/fast-lane/snoresville grouping. You can do any of these zones at ±2 level variance pretty easy, but you're better moving on sooner than later, assuming you're not a hybrid/the groups will take you.

Other popular zones with groups (usually):
Highkeep Hold: 25-33
the Overthere: 20-42
Lake of Ill Omen: 20-30, Bloodgills 40-45 (I think? never done bloodgills)
Warslik's Woods: 20-30
South Karana: 20-34
Karnors: 50-60

Awesome BYOG zones:
Guk: 20-30
Lower Guk: 30-50
SolA: 20-40
SolB: 35-late 50s

You'll do better if you /who all the classes you need for a group and /tell them to go to Sol A or Runnyeye. Lotsa plat to be made there and no competition for mobs. Mistmoore and Unrest are always 3 or 4 groups fighting over the same 20 mobs.

Runnyeye is awesome on the second level from 20-30. Lotsa squishy goblins that drop bronze, fine steel and black iron. Sol A is awesome for blocks of ore and finesteel. Both places have vendors nearby. All Mistmoore has is a couple of gargoyle eyes and rawhide.

Much of the time building your own group is faster than sitting at the zone in /lfg too.
