Wondering if anyone played this?

I had an account for about a year and just couldn't get used to the fact that I couldn't use a mouse!

What the hell is EQ Adventures?

Look at all these haters... I played a Cleric, Halfelf if I am not mistaken, and I wanna say high 30s low 40s. I played for a bit but never focused on anything. I wish they could make a PC emu for it. Would play the shit outta it again.

It certainly was an experience! I only bring it up because of this.

I played EQOA, but it was shortly lived. Was great to see console venture into MMO, but the console was so limited on hardware compared to the current PC that it was like living even behind EverQuest 1.

There is a EQOA emulator in the works (so I hear) -- I don't know where their site is located. But I have seen updates posted to EQEmu's site: http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17477&page=2

It is very possible to emulate a game after its death just more difficult. I imagine the content (npcs, items, etc.) might not be available to them and they have to create that all by hand.

Here is his supposed YouTube channel, he uses twitch to stream his work sometimes.. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7oaBOjEFUHN7uN3KPjveww

The one thing that bothers me about this kind of project is they seem to have it under wraps. EQEmu (in its somewhat current and previous forms until it was handed to us by Agx, who was done working on it) -- it was given as open source and that is what made it take off so quickly, having it devoted to a single team will probably make this a slow and possibly abandoned process.

They did used to have it under wraps because they were afraid of getting a C&D order. They don't use a site for it any longer though and have opted to use public facebook groups to pool together knowledge.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/445149928880146/ All they really have to go off of is a savestate that Corsten had as far as I know.

EQ on PS4!!!!

Would you try it?

EQ Next looks as if its made for children. For the sake of EQ I'll probably buy and try it, no doubt in my mind though that I won't make it till the end of my free 30 days before I cancel my subs.
