Pets opening doors through hallways

If my memory serves me correctly, pets did not open doors on their own when running down a hallway. Is this intentional?

Specifically the hallways inside the castle in Mistmoore, i dont know how many times iv died in there cause my pet will run down the hallways and open door getting LoS aggro on its way to following me.

Your pet is a lower level than you. The doors opening are the mobs aggroing your lower level pet and coming after you. (opening the door in the process)

They should not aggro through walls though, basically as a closed door is?

Pets should not be opening doors. I will have to check the code, but it was intentionally set such that they shouldn't.
