Hello, new to eq

I've always wanted to try old eq and now I finally get that chance. But to try and make it potentially "easier" for me I was wondering if Halfling Druid would be a good beginning for a new player.

Druids are pretty awesome as a first choice, they are good money makers, soloists, and are useful in groups until 50+. Not to mention halflings get a minor xp bonus and don't need to be shrunk to navigate dungeons easily :p
