These mass pvp videos are straight up awful to watch.
Make it last short enough so that mass pvp doesn't consist of passing around one to every member 15 minutes before the fight starts.

This is a solution everyone can get behind
reducing the timer would be beneficial for mass pvp, but it would actually make the AON even more powerful by doing so. not that its necessarily a bad thing just something to keep in mind.
example, in mass pvp im constantly spamming my /target macro's to see if some of the enemy skeletons are approaching us or trying to sneak into our raid in skeleton form. if the buff timer was reduced far less instances of the enemy trying to sneak into my raid would happen thus making me more relaxed and hit my target macros less thus giving people with aon's more of a chance to stealth around.
this is just one scenario off the top of my head.
I really think aon's need to be nerfed but buff timers may not be the solution.
name plates might be the way to go, but then you are nerfing the item almost completely.
I like this idea, a lot. 8 mins sounds good to me.

there will be more aons then players once they drop from golems, nerf aon.

and fear 2.0 revamp didn't occur until 7-8 months into velious. learn 2 fucking eq smeyd FUCK
I like this idea, a lot. 8 mins sounds good to me.
it's a good start, but realistically it isn't a solution to the problem of what becomes effectively immunity.
