Someone had to say it. I think anyone even casually lurking these forms can see the tell-tale signs of emotional investment written--nay--carved into the walls here at r99. I'm wondering if after years in the trenches some of you might actually have a legitimate claim on mild/moderate mental disorder stemming from your experiences on this server.

Red99ers come from all walks of life. I'm wondering if any among us are qualified to make a mental assessment of the player base as it exists today. It seems to me like many of you could benefit greatly from taking a little time to reflect on just how much of an impact everquest is having on your life.

Only child syndrome Ex. would be Heartbrand

I think everyone is insane, even so called normal people. It's just to what degree. I honestly think a lot of people here are quite insane and dysfunctional. But for example I know 5 people who are completely miserably absolutely batshit fucking insane and they work two jobs (without retirement planned, money blown on booze and stds), worked till they were disabled and miserable, had babies (that they then refused to love), got divorced, did drugs (instead of trying to be a good citizen of the empire), and never played EQ. Have no idea about this world.

I'm batting 1000 against people like those.

However, in favor of the really insane people here. At least they can relate to each other in some way, even if they remain a diverse group. Through the game. And that in itself is a form of therapy. Meaning that this website has great healing potential for you're pals fame.
