I'm assuming I NEED to start using a 2H at the level of 17. Some insight on that would be great also any suggestions on not only a cheap but good 2H weapon for me at this level any cheap armor suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Wu's quivering staff for your 2H needs. Last you into the 40s.
Raw/Cured silk armor with 5ac/55hp rings will do. 4ac/44hp rings if you're poor.

Wu's quivering staff is as good as it gets, for a pretty darn cheap for as good a weapon as it is. Definitely buy one.

my buddy got a Wu's for 150p! That's so ridiculously cheap for that damage.

I picked mine up for 125p. Going from 1-9 using my fists only, it was my best purchase and I expect it to last me for a very long time (I level quite slow, ha).
