How about some proof I'm right ok. In that screen shot if you tally up the damage you get 1064 dmg total. Thats DS + DOT's + Melee + HT. Of that damage you landed 1 melee hit for less then 200dmg.

Now I do understand that things have been tough for you lately. Its not easy too look at an empty trophy case and realize all accomplishments are based around a 15 year old elf sim you have to exploit for a sense of self worth. But you can do it man. You'll find someone. You'll rebound and things will be better.

i dodged a bullet with mighty strike tbh, evaded it untill I was out of melee range into boulder range, at which point he stunned me, but missed the hits required to lock me down and I was able to avoid the rest of his disc

also the fight we had in west freeport where the cacti made the environment very interesting as nizzar would auto duck on them every 15 seconds

If a HP buff accidentally got bottom slotted there is no way anyone in Azrael would stand for it. I would immediately have to redo it even if it was their own fault (which it most likely was).

First two slots cloud have been rune and regrowth after wearing off? U have a haste so assuming you'd demand some new chanter in guild for his last peridot rune.

Ur always 80%+ buffed in your SS so I highly doubt ur cruising around with a haste/ds and self buffs - that ain't ur style.

And correct me if I am wrong if that is a DS pot buff (the flame) how did it end up halfway in your buffs if those 2 slots were empty.

As far as pvp goes, Lets face it KC is one of the ONLY places your going to find 60v60 pvp. If your a wiz/dru that can be bound in like oot you can go check all the popular areas sro/seafury/ac/rv bank(lets face it everywhere the YT for that range has been lately) and get easy kills. I wonder why vapo asked for a duel in the arena, I am assuming maybe so 5 azrael didn't login mid fight to gank him. Being in arena and knowing Azrael and no one else is camped there to login midfight to fuck with it sounds good to me. Very few people keep their word these days and even if they do that doesn't mean 1 dick head won't overhear and login to fuck it up anyway.

1) Threatens server's existence, lets face it, if Sony found out people were making big money off this server, they would shut the project down, since they are still protected by IP laws.
2) This is a classic emulator server, it ruins the experience of actually playing the game and farming things yourself. If you want to be a powergamer, you are playing the wrong MMO.
3) The people that are RMTing on this server are also stifling the end game community and its growth to corner the market (eg Lite corpse camping PoH for 48 hours straight after losing a CT).

There is no way a new player could know all this.

I'd use past examples, but that chapter is closed. Besides it was an Azrael affiliated player that offered to RMT/Sell characters/gear at that point in time.

Eslade have you still never caught onto the fact Nihilum was essentially a guild with a revolving door of nonstop recruits, every month a half dozen or more people got gear and quit. Hence the endless quest to regear and if you look at it, even after that long nihilum only had so many neckbeards and a TON of casual semi casual players. Some of the older nihi members got so bored of regearing new apps/members that quit after 3-4 months that even they began quitting or taking extended breaks.

You have the same core 12 people at most, usually 8 for that entire time doing the raiding and boss killing. Everyone else are new recruits and members who are still gearing up. What about Azrael? You guys have the same core number of players basically that played just as much as any of the core nihilum yet you WEREN'T getting dragons and pixels. You were fighting in HS with andith and lite deciding who gets a fbhoop or was that before your time? Azrael has same ol people, sometimes the casuals come out of the woodwork when pixels are there or they've been told some fun pvp to be expected.

think its hilarious slathar brings up the whole rmt thing, yeah right when he came to red99 he tried to rmt(which on live was rampant and all over, alot of people did it to make money) and dazed tried to scam him to which he reported to GMs and found out the rules it wasn't allowed. trying to dredge up some bs wannabe rmt dirt from years ago is hilarious, graspin at straws.

I think War/SK is actually one of the more even cross class fights. If sk's can get far enough ahead to not die to mighty strike via lifetap sustain they can win, having outdoor space helps.

If the warrior keeps it even/gets ahead as the lifetotals get low, they will almost surely win.

Part of why beastagoog rapes people is because he preps for pvp 5 times as hard as most people on the box who just don't care as much. I consider myself generally well prepared for pvp(ds potions, Reaper of the dead, Shiny Brass, Gate pots) and i'm pretty sure salem still outclasses me in that catagory(shaman haste potions? where do you even find the bag space, I guess you dont need shrink potions like me...or sow potions for that matter)

Also dunno why we are acting like, blown away by salems buff order? Mine is almost identical, I slot banshee aura a bit more towards the front because I have ragefire arms, and I do not have AoN, and I don't have shaman haste potions because that shit is next level.


I'm one of the bigger advocates of "sk's kinda suck here" but i don't think we suck in 1v1 pvp at all. We just have really really poor melee damage output, so we have to use utility damage from Ds potions/Dots to try and cover the gaps.

for the sake of what I think sk's lose to in 1v1 pvp?

(good)T-staff monks indoors nearly unwinnable, outdoors, I still think it's against us slightly.

Warriors is a split, Mightystrike defines the fight, both players basically spend the whole fight thinking about it.

Rogues who are godlike at getting backstabs, I think this fight favors sk's pretty heavily, but its losable.

Bards outdoors because who the fuck can fight them?

Good prepared pvp paladins, which are pretty much the rarest thing on this server, because fucking killing a dude 7 times straight.

Every other 1v1 should be pretty winnable for a well prepped SK.

Great post Weta, the only thing I would like to point out is that SKs have reduced/capped damage tables by a significant amount compared to pure melee, in addition to their reduced skillcaps.

You have to understand, that fully raid buffed, an SK does not scale as well as a warrior/rogue/monk, which is why those classes generally dominate the raiding scene (although Beastagor seems to be good at timing his last hits). Fighting a pure melee with both parties fully raid buffed will disadvantage the SK.

But then, you pros already know that right?

i dno, i just don't see how a good sk vs a good warrior with equal gear how the sk would win that, if both players are equally as good on the jouste the warrior is gonna sack the shadowknight with ease, as the lifetaps are merely useless here until velious

Assuming both have similar gear....

the Saving Grace for the SK is Epic Proc, and Boil Blood, use bow and stay out of melee range as much as possible...

One thing to factor in that can really change things is Sow Sword, Epic Shoulders, and Rune Sword...

Best bet is DOT the war down, use bow, tap to keep full HPs...

try clinging darkness to drop sow...

and joust only when its somewhat unavoidable...

and don't go anywhere near the war when down around 20% except to HT..

All this is assuming the War knows how to Joust ..

Kinda how I used to 1v1 a wizard if in an outdoor zone... jump in and out of spell range, use bow and dots ... ( not sure if it works the same where but on VZTZ dots like boil blood went UNDER the Epic Rune )... and shadowstep... only go in for hits if he is already low and I can drop his rune and swing Bash/Tap/HT/Bash/Tap for the win.

Warrior with mighty strike is so much more dangerous to an SK than a wizard imo.

the removal of plugging would be nice, melees so powerful these days removing plugging being an easy exit option would help balancing things out

atm plugging is basically an unintended utility for most classes that aren't innately offered an exit spell or skill set.

Him keeping up with me strafe running and then pulling that one on me seemed to be the icing on the cake. As stated before I haven't seen much bullshit in a while other than the constant training in guild pvp.

i play zerg and imo its the hardest race to master. missing injections and creep spread can be fatal and the balance between making workers and making units is hard as fuck to maintain sometimes. i also believe however zerg can be pretty powerful in the right hands so i am not claiming its unbalanced. wish there was a creep tumor hotkey tho!
