That's not an aoe she's casting, it's a DD proc for 1228 combined with a 10k grav flux. Rune + lev to stand a chance, though the best we've managed is to get her to cheal 3 or 4 times before killing us...

Currently he is proccing Silverwing's AE. The first guy on the thread claims it should be area of effect; the second guy claims its a DD, everyone claims its kinda nasty. Of course I don't think it should be landing at all at 400 MR, let alone 3/3. So yeah, its kind of a whiney post.

"She camps right next to SG alot and she somtimes gets stuck" is actually my favorite one from that thread, though, from 2001. Maybe we can change her pathing to mimic that that? It would be pretty funny to zone into that.

Before the faction tools we killed a few of the dragons with a group of people and if we were medding by SG he would often agro us so he does cause problems for people around SG if you aren't looking for him.

There's no point in balancing any of this around the current 400 or w/e resist cap now... then changing it to 255 later.

255 first (Haynar's amazingly got this done, aesthetic on client aside)... fix from there.

Yes, resisting fear/breaths from lvl 66 dragons should be very hard (like an off the bat -60 to check on a 255 scale with a lvl 60 target) and require strategy rather than everyone just blowing duelist and linking loots.

From what I recall when I did research on Trakanon (L65) his breath was resisted something like 2/3 of the time by people with max PR. Von is L57, so I guess that number should be more like 80% with 255 MR.

It would be fucking awesome if Haynar has a fix to get resists to cap at 255, but I definitely think the resist system needs to be tweaked simultaneously. It will be literally impossible to kill anything on beta.

I agree with Nirgon and Raev.

The resists need to be scaled off a 255 cap before Velious is released.

Otherwise mobs will be unkillable, or they will require you have max resist gear for a single resist in each slot and a bard in every group (which is far from classic).

Those Trakanon posts from EQCleric are a good baselines to figure out how your resists should work witht 255 and 60, etc.

The problem with the 400 cap is that it switches the encounters like Gorenaire from skill based (everyone has 255 MR and eats the fear 25% of the time; that may include your main tank) to gear based (get BiS resist gear and a bard for 400MR, faceroll).
