Atrocious Load Time Help

I admit, my rig is not that good.

2nd gen i3 2120
4g ram
WD 750 gig hdd
win7

Load times zone to zone....20 seconds or so. (i was porting to misty then gating back to dagnors and zoning into and out of kedge)
From server select to char select 40 seconds...
Logging in from char about 20 seconds or so.

So i heard that if you get a SSD as a secondary drive and install EQ onto it, you would have super fast load times.

So i got a little 65 gig samsung SSD from my nephew. I have never tried to run two hard drives. So i just plugged it in and turned on comp and it seemed to be working since my nephew had already formatted it and what not.

I copied my Sony folder over to it and launched EQ from that folder.
Zone to zone about 16-19 seconds or so.
Server to Char about 30 seconds.
Logging in from char about 16 seconds or so.

Does this sound about right? Or have i set it up incorrectly? Is this as good as it gets for me?

Could be your connection or how far you are from the actual servers.

I'm in east Tennessee. Where are the servers?

Also, ended up switching SSD over to main drive and installing OS and EQ on it only...still didnt really improve load times.

However, it did add one additional annoying aspect...

When i log into the game now, EQ is windowed and the only way to get it out of windowed mode is to push alt + enter. And when i tab out and tab back in its WINDOWED AGAIN !!! aaaaaargh

Plus instead of tabbing out almost "instantly" it takes like 1.5 seconds and screen turns black for that 1.5 seconds...its terrible =(

Try these in eqclient.ini
TextureCache=TRUE
Windowedmode=FALSE

Match these to your res.
VideoModeBitsPerPixel=32
Width=1920
Height=1080

If texturecache already = TRUE try set it to FALSE
BTW I have a C2D 3.16 and have no issues zoneing. Sometimes there is a big wait but usually only when there is lag on the inet
I'd say ~7-10 seconds
