What is the Red raid scene really like?

I need a change of pace from blue, and I don't have the time to devote anymore to do 4 am batphones. Some of the stuff I've been reading in threads suggested that at least at one time there was some sort of agreement between guilds to not poopsock content and 4am batphone raid encounters. Is this actually the case? Can you raid on Red without having to have ventrillo open 24/7 to hear some nerd scream about Trakanon at 3am when you have to work at 9?

I wouldn't be opposed to rolling here if the end game isn't completely retarded. Any input?

It is a bitter awful mess ran with great dysfunction . It mostly consists of standing in line to wait around while monsters spawn so that they can be killed instantly.Then everyone will spend the rest of their lives complaining about how the loot was awarded.

Variance is fucking awful, its not classic and it doesn't solve any problems. It just creates poopsocking, and the same guilds that got the mobs pre-variance get them after variance because they put in all the time anyway. It's stupid.

It's really fun imo, even if you lose an encounter it's a lot more exciting than not having pvp involved. At the very least I would tell you that it's way better than blue.

Raiding with the prospect of getting PKed or PKing others.....there's just nothing really more exciting than that. WHy the fuck would you waste time on a blue server. Getting pixils for what? So you can attack more NPCs with more bluebies....again for what?

On Red you make a REAL name for yourself because you WILL effect other people's playing experience to a great degree. Not just some computer AI BS but ACTUAL People. Red is for people with balls. Only about 10% of the people of this world actually have balls.
