A friend of mine looted the Code of Zan Fi and wants to MQ it for me. I heard from a few skeptics that this is not working as intended, so I want to know if anyone has first hand knowledge of this?

If it does work, does he hand in the code first and then I turn in my purple headband to get the next items?

Yes it works. He hands in code then you hand in headband to get item. The MQ from Raster's drop does not work though.

Can confirm, just MQed this myself last night. I had the code on an alt, and the headband on my monk. Ran into SK and had a nearby druid keep him hailed for me while I turned in the code first, and then the headband on my monk. Got the needle no problem.
