Drakkel Dire Wolves in Kael

1. Should be hitting for 250ish, not the normal 150ish.


I took a wrong turn in Kael and slipped down into some of these, they hit hard. I was killed in seconds. 237 hp dmg per hit plus they got a bash in as well.


Yes these are tough, I was on a raid and we had a bad pull and got 3 of these. I'm lvl 53 and 2 conned red and one yellow (so not sure if levels right or we just had bad luck and got tough ones), we got wupped pretty quick. Quad 245 can hunt.

2. Should have "normal" MR for their level instead of the increased Giant MR.


Giants in Kael tend to have a high resistance, but those Wolves dont - very often my Charm lasts for the full possible time.

might be a bit rough at 57, but find a level 53 drakkel dire wolf, and charm it with command of tunare, it hits for 240ish and can equip weapons to quad/proc, but summons so keep it above 96%, also regens really fast, so add some regen buffs and it can tear through mobs near bank without losing any HP.

3. MAYBE should dual wield. Those posts are all from 2003 though.

Wait I may have a reason to play my druid in Kael over my cleric?!?!

But alas, the level range on those wolves is so high that only the lowest limit is charm able.

They're still extremely resistant.

Resisted about 25 calms, 50% success rate on Entrance and level 4 mez, 100% resists on stuns and AE mez.

Will do further testing when I'm not by myself and can find someone to solo pull one since they're seemingly uncalmable.

Has this been updated yet? These are way more resistant than giants from my experiences so far.

Extremely, extremely MR. I landed 3 roots, none lasted over 15 seconds. Have they been changed to unmezzable/uncharmable as well?

Something's not right with these mobs, still.

Tried charming and snaring these a few days ago. Anecdotal evidence at best but after Glamour was on had all resists on snare and charm. Something is amiss here.
