Sorry this may be a silly question..

If the lumi staff is +5 wis and +35 mana - is that definitely a lot better than say a primary and secondary item that you can get much higher wisdom from? (for example, Pearl Kedge Totem and something else?

I would imagine the +35 mana is more mana than you would get from wisdome item for your secondary hand.

The +35 mana is about the same maybe a tiny bit more than the mana you'd get from another item with more wis such as the testament.

Staff is super worth it to have and also level with get one if you can but I dont equip it unless I am using it to quad or kill something mana free with clicky. its decent stats but depending on what you can equip say a cone of mystics and testament is probably a bit better overall.

Yall correct me if i am wrong but its +6 mana per wis up to 200 wis then +3 after..from what i remember. so depending on your level of wis and items it could be better one way or another. If you have the cash get the staff and go get you a testament of vanear / primary to use normally. just imo

Nope. Lummy staff is worth only for quadding up to level 53 mostly and then for the free nuke. I have it in the inventory and only use it ocasionally to finish a MoB (mostly when doing cycles) But honestly, not so usefull from level 53 and on. You can succesfully quad the Seafuries with it, but they have a lot of HPs and probably is just better/same to use the new quad DD. But it's great to powerlevel yourself from 46 to 53 doing aviaks / dorfs.

After that, you will do better having one of the following (primary / secondary):

Pre PoS (plane of sky): Cone of the mystics / Book of obulus or Sarnak battle shield
PoS: Espri or Shillelagh / Book of obulus or Sarnak battle shield
Epic: Nature walker's scimitar / Sarnak battle shield or Shield of the water dragon.
