Magician Focii Items

Disregard! Crom is correct; this appears to be classic.

I'm guessing it was changed at some point since they definitely read as Mage only clickies on allakhazam currently.

All of these items read "(Any Slot/Can Equip, Casting Time: Instant) at Level 20"

With the bolded being the important part. It is clickable from any slot (IE not must-equip) but only by those who *CAN* equip it.

This is the terminology Allakhazam uses to denote that if your class cannot equip the item, they cannot click it. Illuminated by the Guise/Mask of the Deceiver:

As we all know, Guise is clickable from inventory by everyone. Whereas DE mask is only clickable by Rogues/Bards.

In summary, the ToSR Mage items shouldn't be clickable by anyone but magicians. Infact all ToSR quest items with clickies should only be clickable by the caster.

The only counter-information to this is a Shaman claiming the Broom is a great shaman item, then 1 saying its inventory clickable and 2 people refuting him saying shamans cannot use.

Interesting! I appear to be wrong. I wonder when it got changed to be Mage only. Since I'm pretty sure that's what the "Can Equip" line has always meant in allakhazam.

Can be deleted or moved to resolved.
