Interesting. Have no idea as to how credible the source is thus I have some real doubts. It being anniversary of 9/11 does give me pause though.

Makes me wonder if I need to double or triple up my ammo reserves up here in Dallas? Doubt they would make it that far if they really tried, but who knows? Better safe than sorry I suppose!

Anyone know how to say "Remember the Alamo!" in arabic? :D

Scary shit.

I also just read that the US military has begun preparing a stratedgy for an occupation of New York City and other major cities around the country. We are heading for war, whether its with some terrorist organization or our own government has yet to be seen.

The drug cartels won't stand for ISIS in their territory, nothing to worry about.

Three Percenter Nation is an advocate for the Second Amendment and gun toting Bible believers.

Sounds like a super reliable news source.

Texas has to be one of the most tooled up states to handle something like that.

Scaremongering at best.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they try to take advantage of our weak borders. Still, if we don't get attacked by Sept. 11, I think we need to remain on alert anyway. The best time for them would be when we least expect it.

This guy (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kn2ruOiFVCc) annoys me (his voice reminds me too much of Rush Limbaugh) but he made a fair point in this report on how easy it is for anyone to just come on in anytime they want.

Look at their stories they write. Hell their motto should give away how they stand "God, Guns, and Guts"

Should give you a pretty good idea how full of shit they are and how they want to trumpet up scary shit to their political base.

There is no such thing as a credible news source other than a first hand account with today's media.

We used to find prayer rugs all the time in AZ. Also, I don't know how you might be able to find this information(I used to have access to crime databases through work but dont anymore) but look up arrests relating to immigration in a place like Tucson. Half of them are from countries like saudi, jordan, syria and lebanon.

My brother works for Homeland Security, he usually calls me to talk and says he heard from actual intel reports the cartels in mexico are smuggling ISIS members into the US at 50k a head.

Why would the cartel, a group that makes all it's money from the US, want to destroy it by sending in ISIS guys? Makes no sense.

Besides there's probably more guns in west Texas than all of ISIS combined.

Something tells me your account is meant to be satire. There's a reason the saying goes: "nothing good ever came from Texas". It's like a giant New Jersey with cowboys.

Probably because ISIS is a bunch of goons and some small terrorist organization stands no realistic chance of destroying the US. So why not profit off of them.

I decided to research a couple of things just to make sure nothing significant had changed in the past 5 or so years, nope, the Texan is full of shit.
Texas is bad ass, if we left the rest of you guys would have no electricity,
Do you mean coal power?
http://cdn.powermag.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/520004dd9936c-64-Coal-Fired_map.gif
Not that coal power is the energy of the future or anything (despite what those G.E. commercials will tell you) The midwest by itself has you beat 4 to 1.

Maybe you mean wind power. Texas is a big windy flat desert, they gotta be #1 by a large margin right?
http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/images/2012.05.03/RenewablesMap_Wind_large.png
Oh, the whole west Coast matches them as well as the Northern U.S. in much smaller states. Good effort though I guess.

Maybe it's Nuclear power, again, big land mass, lots of places to stick a bunch of reactors out of the way right?
http://www.lanl.gov/quarterly/q_fall03/images/reactor_map.jpg
Out of 104 nuclear reactors, Texas has 2... Second largest state with less than 2% of the country's nuclear output.

What about biofuels?
http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/images/2012.05.03/RenewablesMap_Biomass_large.png
OK... what about hydroelectric?
http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/images/2012.05.03/RenewablesMap_Hydro_large.png
...geothermal?
http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/images/2012.05.03/RenewablesMap_Geothermal_large.png

Ok ok, well maybe Texas just uses a lot less electricity than other states do so despite those numbers there's a gigantic surplus from all of those wind turbines or something...
http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/images/2012.06.01/ReserveMargins.png
Oh. Dead last in surplus energy too? Fuck. ;)

gas,
Roughly 15% of the gas/oil consumed in the United States comes from Texas, while we would certainly not "have no gas" if Texas were to go bye bye, 15% is enough to have a somewhat significant effect on prices/availability. Then again you have to take into consideration these pipelines that are being stonewalled keeping us from a much larger supply of oil coupled with the fact that most of 'Texas's' oil is actually gulf oil from offshore drilling and not mainland Texas drilling/fracking.
or graphing calculators.

Texas Instruments 4lyfe

Yes yes, the headquarters for a calculator company is in fucking Dallas. Here have a gold star.

I didn't forget Solar energy, I just had a hard time finding a map that wasn't from 2004 or earlier. Here we go.
http://governor.state.tx.us/files/ecodev/Solar_Potential.jpg
A teeny tiny fraction of Texas is in the second highest tier of solar production with the bulk of the state in the third and fourth tiers. It's not bad, but not nearly enough to have Texas be missed in this category either.

I don't think they want to "Invade" the united stated by any means. If they are coming through the border (I don't doubt they are atleast trying) they are probably going to just going to figure out a way to inflict lots of damage with what little resources they have here. Unless the Cartels are really helping them and supply them with something nasty.
